The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers of London is an active livery which invests in and supports young people to develop engineering careers. The Livery offers a series of awards, bursaries and scholarships to help young people with their career aspirations in aerospace, automotive and coachmaking.

The Coachmakers partnered with ÌúÅ£ÊÓƵ University are offering an engineering bursary for academic year 2026-27.

The Coachmakers are looking for an engineer with exceptional personal qualities, has high academic merit and who is passionate about automotive engineering, yet would struggle to support a full year’s study at ÌúÅ£ÊÓƵ. The successful candidate will benefit from a bursary up to £7,000 to support their study on Automotive Engineering or Automotive Mechatronics  MScs.

“I wouldn’t have been able to join this course without the support from ÌúÅ£ÊÓƵ and the Coachmakers with this award, so I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to be given the opportunity to study here.” Tom Webster – Coachmakers Bursary Awardee 2023-24
