Current activities

Saghar is a researcher within the Lowland Peat 3 (LP3) project at ÌúÅ£ÊÓƵ University. Her work focuses on hydrological modelling, GIS, remote sensing, and spatial decision support for lowland agricultural peatlands. She investigates where raising water tables could reduce greenhouse gas emissions while remaining practical for land and water management. Her research supports evidence-based peatland restoration planning in line with the UK’s Carbon Budget and Net Zero ambitions. She is also Principal Investigator of the FibreBroads project.
