ÌúÅ£ÊÓÆµ University’s Dr Irene Carra has been appointed to the UK committee of the .

Dr Carra, Lecturer in Chemical Processes within the ÌúÅ£ÊÓÆµ Water Science Institute, joined ÌúÅ£ÊÓÆµ in 2014 and focuses her research on advanced treatment for the removal of pollutants from water sources.

Speaking of her appointment, Dr Carra said: “I am thrilled to be part of the UK IWA Committee. This is an exciting opportunity and I look forward to contributing to the Committee’s strategy and long-term plans in the UK.”

The IWA is a global network of water professionals aiding the creation of innovative, pragmatic and sustainable solutions to challenging global water needs. The IWA UK Committee is a sub-committee supporting the delivery of the IWA’s critical objectives and strategic goals.
